I started my Transformation journey in August after finally quitting smoking, having done so for 20 years. I was becoming increasingly self conscious about my weight at the start of 2019 after seeing photos on social media and admitting to myself that the big bag of clothes under the bed that no longer fit wasn't because they were shrinking in the wash! I decided to use the money I was saving not smoking to do something about my weight. I had a coffee with one of the coaches, discussed my goals and signed up for the week free trial, I haven't looked back since!
I have joined Gyms in the past but always got bored and never enjoyed training. This time round has been the complete opposite and I am training at every opportunity and enjoying every second of it. I signed up for Lose a stone in September and lost just over 2 stone sticking to my training plan and nutrition advice! The variety of classes available in the studio is fantastic so every session is different and fun, I especially enjoyed strike month in October!
I am quite competitive in nature and the Myzone facility has made it easy to monitor my performance and effort on the app and has given me the drive to push myself. It also gives training a friendly and social aspect with members encouraging each other!
I've had a couple of niggles over the last few months, especially in my legs, but I expected that having not done any excercise for years! The coaching team have guided me through allowing me to continue training and speed up recovery.
I am feeling fitter than ever and have started to take pride in my appearance again and binned all of the big baggy hoodies I was hiding behind!
I have now been set a new training plan with the addition of some weight training and can't wait to see what I can achieve in 2020!
